Where are you located?

Back to topWhat is your education background?

Back to topIs everything we discuss confidential?
For adult and minor clients alike, rest assured that everything discussed in our office is confidential, with some minor exception. For misuse/abuse of elderly or minors, or intent to harm oneself or someone else, Jennifer must report such incidents to the state of Ga in keeping with her licensure and ethical standards. All other issues will remain confidential.
Back to topWhat does it cost for a counseling session?
The current base rate is $60 per session. Please contact Grace For All Families for more details.
Back to topMy church has offered to pay my bill. Is that ok?
If you are seeking faith-based, or Christian counseling, it is absolutely ok that your assembly of faith would partake in paying for counseling and many churches already participate in a plan for payment. To find out if your church participates with our office in providing payment, give our office a call, or call your pastor or office staff of your church.
Back to topCan I bring children to my session? Is child care provided?
Child care is not provided and there are currently no means to entertain your child as counseling is a process that requires your full, undivided attention. We do provide counseling for minors; this is different than family therapy and is a situation focused therapy that is a service for children 6 and older.
Back to topWhat does faith-based counseling mean?
Christian, or faith-based, counseling is provided in a modality that uses the standard of the Bible as a guideline. Proverbs 15:22 says that plans fail without guidance; make sure you have well-guided advisors to provide ministry to you!
Back to topAre you affiliated with a particular church?
GFAF is a para-church ministry, meaning we act as a resource for area churches. As a contact or resource for the Rehoboth Baptist Association, the local Baptist group that is caretaker to the 60-something churches in the area, Jennifer works with their staff and is a resource for their pastors so rest-assured she upholds the standards they promote if one of their pastors suggested our office. Also, Jennifer works with many churches in the area and is glad to offer her services to them as they minister to families at a larger scale.
Back to topDo you bill insurance?
Our office is not equipped to bill every insurance company at this time, but several clients do bill their company third party. If you are interested in learning more details, we can discuss this option at your first session. Call our office for more details.
Back to topI am currently on medication. Can you help out with that?
Physicians who suggest counseling in conjunction with medication to help resolve their problems know that some medications are necessary to allow the individual to actually learn to achieve changes in their behavior. Some psychiatrists do their own counseling but most do not and refer to counselors to aide behavior change. Research shows that the combination of medications and therapy often work better than medications alone. We do not guarantee that this would be the case in any particular situation. There is some possibility that reduction or elimination of medications could occur at some point.
Back to topI see a psychiatrist. Do you work with any in the area?
Do you work with any in the area? Our office partners with some psychiatrists and psychologists in the area. We can work out an arrangement for your recovery/maintenance program that works best for you at your diagnosis appointment.
Back to topI am burned out at my job. Could counseling help me?
Jennifer is certified to provide coaching and life-skills training that include help for those burnt out in their job. Counseling provides a holistic approach to the wellbeing of a person so it is likely you will discuss this aspect of your career anyways.
Back to topI am engaged to be married. What do you suggest in the form of premarital counseling?
We do provide pre-marital counseling; the typical program is 6-10 sessions long and is based on Focus on the Family's premarital material. Jennifer is certified in conducting premarital counseling, an arena that will allow you and your fiance to discuss a variety of issues in marriage.
Back to topAre you licensed?
Jennifer is licensed with the Georgia Board of Examiners, who provide licensure for Georgia Christian Counselors Association, a group to which she belongs and upholds their guidelines for continuing education as well as moral and ethical standards of licensure with the state of Ga.
Back to topWith which organizations are you affiliated?
